For the purpose of Healthybit when we speak of Health and Beauty we will be focusing on the benefits of Exercise, Good Nutrition, and Skin Care one bite at a time.
Exercise -
As you know there are tons of websites on how to exercise, and exercises & exercise plans. I would say one key elemnet of success is to have accountibility partner. My kids are mine and I theirs. Who is yours?
There are those who are dedicated people who exercise - my hat is off to you. I admire people like you. Unfortunately I can sometimes fall into the catagory of lazy. Yep you heard me LAZY. I admit it I've had periods in my life where I was just being lazy. Know, that's not to say that is true for everyone, but I know for my family when we boil all the excuses down "no time, too boring, too hard, too tired, too hot, etc" bottom line when we don't take action then we are really saying we don't believe in the value, or the bang for the buck. We know logically that exercise is good for us, we'll have more energy, better focus, good for up health wise, we'll look good all in all when you really look at it there is not really any negatives. There are so many perks for exercising, so if you're not exercising we encourage to start small with maybe just walking for 10 minutes. Find something fun you'd like to do and don't do it for the exercise just do it because it's fun then before you realize it you'll be hooked on exercise. It's so true the more active you become the active you want to be. It all starts with 1 step at a time. Take a step today!
An option to get started - Have you tried the 3 minutes workout? For 20 sec. do some type of high energy exercise (this should be at a level good for you, if not sure consult your doctor), then rest for 20sec. - repeat this process for 1 minute. Now, for 2 minutes do something very low impact such as walking. The 1 minute high impact and 2 minute low impact complete 1 cycle. Repeat this cycle 2 more times. We'd like to know how's it working for you, contact us today with your story.
Nutrition -
Let me ask you - do you think the food you get out of the store today has the same nutritional value it did 100 years ago, 50 years ago, 10 years ago? Did you know nearly 1/3 of our crop land has been left due to soil erosion and degradtion over the past 35 years or so. Where have the nutrients gone? Are they in all those re-engineered foods that are showing up in our local grocery stores? Doctors will tell you the best way to make sure your getting all the nutrients needed are by taking supplements. What they don't always tell you is that if your system is acidic then most of the time you're just wasting your hard earned money on supplements that don't work.
One of the best things you can do for you and your family is go to a local heath store and by a PH test kit w/booklet of explantion. By us I think it was around $16.00. One of the best $16.00 we've spent. When I first tested by PH it was not much higher than a 5.5 no wonder I was sick all the time. Diet alone did not bring my PH up, it did help but I needed suppliments as well. I use a neat little tea packet type thing that I put in my water and it is very effective in raising my PH. (does wonders for the clariety of my skin) On the note of suppliments there are a lot out there to choose from. Make sure you pick ones that have a proven track record to work.
A few important things to do nutrionally is 1 whatever you do eat, eat it in moderation. Try not to eat after 7pm, try drinking some water. Like I said make sure your PH is where it needs to be, also make sure you and your family are getting all your green veges. If your kids are like mine, my son only likes very few actual green veges and day in and day out they get old so we use a suppliment that the kids love, so now that get equvillent to 8 organic salads a day in one single serving - works for us! If I can help with recommendations contact me.
Skin Care - one of my favorite topics.
Eating in moderation and eating a well rounded diet along with drinking plenty of water and keeping a healthy PH will go along way to having healthy skin. One thing to have a successful skin care regime is to use a system approach. I wish it were true what all the everyone wants to promote - the famous 1 bottle will meet all your beauty needs. I've used all the way from the top high end products to department store to my local store wonder 1 size fits all beauty products but they just do not fix everything. An easy to use system approach will by far meet all your skin care needs and you'll be much happier with the results. Think of it this way we all have seen the "one size fits all" shirts. As comfortable as they may be they do nothing for your figure, well the same it true for our skin without a system taylored just for us what we're doing isn't going to make a dramatic difference in the longrun of the health of our skin. Complete this chart to help you see what your target area is 5 Col. Chart.
If you have specific skin care needs there are special nutrients you can take that will address the issue from the inside out in conjunction with the right skin care on the outside. Contact me I would be happy to share with you what those are. For example one of the best things you can do for acnaic skin is to raise your PH level.
Speaking of Acne - In my opinion we have one of the very best, most effective, gentlest systems for Acne. Gentle enough for young daughter who is very senitive to everything. Your skin will be clear, soft, and never dried out. Putting things on your Acne to "dry them out" is the worst thing you can do (I'm just warning you if you do try to "dry" them out you will only be making it worse in the long run). This simple quick easy to use system will clear up your skin in no time. Extremely effective for the young or not so young. Remember in looking for something for Acne you want a product that sooths, softens and gently draws out debris without disturbing the protective bubble surrounding the infection because you'll see less scarring, faster healing, and no new blemish clusters not to mention no flakiness.
Do you know what fine line are? It is the accumulation of dead skin cells. One of the very best things you can do for your skin is to Mask it daily. And I'm not talking about those dry clay masks either. I'm talking about a Mask that is designed specfically for your skin type and skin concern. By using the right mask you'll reduce the appearance of fine lines, improve pore size, and promote a youthful radient glow to your skin. There is no other product that is more essential to the health of your skin.
Let me dispell the myth about Hypoallergenic products. Hypoallergenic does Not mean you will not be allergic to the products that make the claim. It only means that the product may have fewer known allergens than similar products. An allergic reaction to a product is dependent upon a persons negitive reaction to 1 or more of the ingredients in a products ingredient deck. For instance a person may be allergic to strawberries, that does not mean strawberries are bad it just means that person can't eat strawberries.
Protect and nuture the skin your in, it's the only one you got, it's our largest organ and our first line of defense from bacteria and disease. Pay a little attention to it on the front end and reap the benefits for years and years to come! Look Better! Feel Better!
